Description

Also known as coralberry. These low bushes form large patches by sending out long above-ground runners. It has opposite, rounded leaves and produces small, greenish-white to purple flowers at the nodes. At maturity these become clusters of small red berries. The bark of the lower stem tends to be loose and flaky or stringy.
